Memories and Milestones mission is to partner up with families to provide quality child care for all children. Quality childcare is a positive atmosphere, nutritious meals, a safe environment, daily communication, and play based learning. At Memories and Milestones Childcare Centre the children will make memories that will last a lifetime. The children will have equal opportunities to reach developmental milestones through educational toys, independent and group activities, daily learning circles, community outings and proper guidance. Every child is viewed as “competent, capable, curious and rich in potential” (CCEYA Reg 137/15 Section 46). We operate our Child Care Centre under the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA, 2014, formerly the Day Nurseries Act of Ontario) where the Ministry of Education licensing requirements are met to ensure dependable child care.
After seeing a void in the market for quality child care, Brigida, an experienced business professional, and Theresa, a certified, primary school teacher, with additional qualifications in Early Childhood Education, decided to establish their own early learning centre. With humble beginnings, in 2005, Tiny Hoppers began in the Ottawa South region. Our popularity grew as parents and their young ones fell in love with Tiny Hoppers’ original programs. Tiny Hoppers presents an educational, interactive and fun program with carefully planned activities supported by high quality educational equipment. Through music and movement and hands on play, Tiny Hoppers has developed a program to aid in the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of young children. All of the educational activities are carefully planned to provide children with an exciting, hands-on learning experience that touches on all areas of learning including math, science, literacy, technology and the arts. This ensures us that the quality in education is maintained, and parents can expect the same high standards and programming in every Tiny Hoppers centre no matter where they go.
Early Beginnings Multicultural Child Development Centre is a full-time licensed childcare program that provides high-quality childcare to the Ottawa community. We are a non-profit organization and a registered charity. Early Beginnings is committed to providing the highest-quality childcare, education, and work/life solutions for families in Ottawa. We strive to remain at the forefront of early childhood education, and to always ensure a welcoming environment that's respectful of the diversity that exists within our center. Originally founded as the 'Ottawa Jewish Daycare', Early Beginnings maintains the Jewish character of its founding institution by highlighting Jewish culture in daily lessons and activities and serving kosher food. Priding ourselves on the multi-cultural nature of our program, we also celebrate the holidays and traditions that are important to our students from the broader, non-Jewish community. Our goal is to ensure happy children, satisfied parents and high-quality staff in a respectful and healthy environment.
Andrew Fleck Children’s Services (AFCS), as it is now known, is one of the oldest and most diversified, multi-service early learning, child care and family support organizations in Ontario. It began its operation in 1911 as a not-for-profit organization and was incorporated in 1920 under the legal name of The Ottawa Day Nursery Inc. It later changed its name to Andrew Fleck Children’s Services in recognition of its benefactor Mrs. Andrew Fleck who donated the building at 195 George Street to the organization in 1932. In 1967, AFCS became a charity thus allowing it to issue income tax receipts to its generous donors. AFCS has always taken a leadership role in the child care community and in early childhood education in Ottawa. Over the past 100 years, in response to the changing needs of the community, it has developed innovative programs and expanded the organization to provide a comprehensive range of services that meet the diverse early learning and child care needs of families in the City of Ottawa. AFCS takes pride in being innovative, progressive, responsive and – most importantly – committed to excellence in all its services.

At Oasis, the program plans are based on the ELECT documentation. Throughout our classrooms we have documentation panels that showcase how our children are learning. The documentation panels provide insights into our children's thinking, which helps to make learning visible. Along with play based learning through ''How Does Learning Happen
