About Child Care Canada

The Childcare Resource and Research Unit is an early childhood education and child care (ECEC) policy research institute with a mandate to further ECEC policy and programs in Canada. This file shows the fall of the rates of children living in low-income in all provinces and territories, specifically how low income rates have fallen more for children in lone-parent families. The statistics (from the Census Family After-tax-Low-Income Measure) have also shown that the child low-income rate has fallen in most census metropolitan areas.
