An elderly couple in Rockville, MD is seeking a part time, live-in caregiver. The husband is blind, and the wife has dementia (possibly Alzheimer’s Disease) along with anemia and general weakness. The wife requires daily exercise (physical and occupational therapy) and mental stimulation, as much as she is willing to do. The couple live in a relatively large home with a full-sized, walk-out basement (with large bedroom, flat-screen TV, refrigerator, wet bar) as well as a large guest room upstairs next to the elderly couple. Compensation includes free room & board, meals and access to a car (for work-related as well as personal use) and salary, depending on hours worked. The position is flexible in terms of hours per week but would include weekday evenings and some weekend hours (the elderly couple already have a part-time caregiver who works weekday mornings).
