Young children learn naturally and spontaneously through their experience of the world around them. They learn from their daily activities and they are happiest when they can choose the nature and direction of their play. Because play is an ideal way for children to learn, our environment has been developed to encourage each child s natural curiosity. The program is set up in learning centers to provide a wide variety of experiences and encourage new skills. Some examples include: daily living area, block area, quiet area, art area and so on. Children learn through play by constructing their own knowledge. Parents and children are our resources. Taking cues from observing, documenting and questioning you, the educators will prepare the environment to extend play.
