Miracles at First Child Care Center is a not-for-profit, designated New Brunswick Early Learning and Childcare Facility founded by First Baptist Moncton in 1991.We encourage all our Little Miracles to grow both spiritually and intellectually, and wish for all children and families to feel as though Miracles is an extended part of their family, where they can come for support and always feel welcome. We feel that introducing a faith-based program will help with good character building. We hope to model and teach good morals and values and a love and acceptance of others that will follow the children as they grow. It is our wish that, together with the values taught at home, the children will learn to treat others with respect and compassion.Every part of our center has your child’s development in mind, whether it’s to encourage problem solving, build friendships with others, explore and learn through hands-on play, or practice their communication and listening skills.
Since its inception in 2006, Kingswood has been providing our community with an exceptional, academic early learning centre. A natural progression for Kingswood was to introduce a traditional Montessori Program with impeccable standards and classically trained teachers.In September of 2009, our first Casa class (ages 3-5) opened, successfully blending New Brunswick Curriculum with Montessori philosophies. Since 2009, we have successfully added a Montessori Toddler class and a Private Montessori School from Kindergarten to Grade 5. After moving to our new school on Ryan Street, we have over 100 Montessori students occupying 7 classrooms.Detailed below are descriptions of the history of the Montessori Method, and the education style for the Montessori Private School, Casa, and Toddler Programs.
For over four years, Carrie has been contemplating a business initiative. She had a dream of creating a more well-rounded educational environment for children nestled in a cozy setting surrounded by the wonders of nature. With less than one-third of New Brunswick's children under five having access to regulated child care spaces, we know that choosing a daycare can be challenging. Many families find themselves in less than ideal situations during this crucial part of their children’s development. With limited opportunities where a focus on education combined with exploring nature complement each other, we are committed to facilitating both.As Willow Bend Early Learning Centre, we want to create a place that has the Montessori philosophy combined with an outdoor educational component.
BGC Moncton has been a safe and supportive place where children and youth have experienced new opportunities, overcome barriers, built positive relationships, and developed confidence and skills for life for almost seven decades.Fraser Woodhouse, the Eastern Regional Director of the Boys Clubs of Canada, comes to Moncton to explore the possibility of establishing a Boys Club in the city, since the existing club operates on a smaller scale and focuses primarily on boys who have been in trouble.Mr. Woodhouse contacts several prominent citizens, including Mr. Hall, Mr. Betts, the City Director of Recreation, Mr. J.A. Keefe, and Judge W. Lane. Letters are sent out requesting assistance with the Club, and the Moncton Boys Club officially comes into being on September 16, 1957. The first President-elect is Mr. Pat Geary from Montreal. The Club was officially incorporated in 1959.The first operating grant from the City of Moncton is followed by support from the United Veterans Council. With monetary and executive representation from the Air Force Veterans Club, #31 R.A.F. Club, C.N.R. War Veterans Club, Main Brace Veterans Club, and the R.C.A.F. Association Wing, the Veterans Council is key in keeping the Boys Club going through its many early growing pains.
