We are a family with 2 young children, and my elderly parents are visiting Feb 24-April 6. My mother is my father's primary caregiver. He is of sound mind but poor mobility. They stay on the first floor so no stairs needed. We are looking for someone to clean the kitchen and dining room each day you come, cook indian or other meals (father is diabetic/needs high protein, mom is veg,) for the family [grandpa/nani/dad/mom.. baby and 4 year old optional]. My parents will have some resistance to help, but need it and may accept it if it is a family helper. Though my mom will do much of this most days, making my dad breakfast, helping him with the toilet if he needs it, help him to the shower if he needs it, making him lunch or tea, helping him with medications [they can arrange the medications, just making sure he takes them]. Light laundry or vacuuming (of the living room and my parents room - not the whole house) may also be requested. I would like my mom to be able to leave the house more easily, so there might be some times when you are at home cooking, but will just need to check in with my dad every 30 minutes. Occasionally helping my dad to go on a walk (pushing wheelchair) may be requested too. There is an option to stay on if desired for the cooking, but this is not necessary. My parents visit a month or two at a time, 1-2 times a year. If they move in, this could be a regular job. There is some flexibility in times. We have a cat.
