About Montessori Academy Learning Centre

Maria Montessori developed the Montessori Method of learning during the late 1800 s in Italy. Her goal was to establish a natural learning experience for children. Through her observations she developed a prepared environment and designed a multitude of hands on materials, which helped develop order, concentration, control and independence (OCCI) in addition to traditional and non-traditional academic and social skills.
