The Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) with the Edmonton Muslim Community commenced the MAC Islamic School, a Full-Time Elementary Islamic School (Pre-School to Grade 9). The MAC Islamic School is a registered private school with Alberta Education with a mission. At MIS, we are committed to mainstreaming Islamic values and teaching in all of the subject areas. We cover the Alberta Education curriculum with Quran, Islamic Studies and Arabic language. This is our sixth year in operation and we currently have an enrollment of 262 students. Ministry licensed Preschool and Kindergarten., All teachers are Alberta Certified., Enriched Reading program for Pre-School to Grade 9., Quran, Arabic language, and integrated Islamic Studies program., Out of School program focusing on Quran, Art club, Reading Club, Sports such as soccer, karate, basketball and more!, Active Parent Councils.
