How to go out on a Valentine date night minus the kids
Valentine Day is a special day to go out with your love; it is more than an overly-commercialized holiday only meant to sell greeting cards, flowers and candy. Enjoy this most romantic night out with your sweet heart and make plans for it. It is good both for you and your children to spend a night alone with your special sweet heart. So go beyond the card and flowers.
Here are some tips to make Valentine date night fun and affordable:
Secure a baby sitter early as most couples would like to go out on a date night on that day; know early if your regular sitter has date night plans of her own. Scrambling to find last-minute child care would only kill the romance. Hiring a babysitter early would leave you time to focus on the more important parts of your Valentine Day celebration.
You may be having all the romantic plans for the evening; it is best however to not wait and start the day on the right foot. Plan a little surprise for your spouse first thing in the morning; stick a cute picture of you both on the bathroom mirror or put a small gift in your spouse’s sock drawer.
Ask the babysitter to come an hour or two early; take a real bubble bath, get a manicure, use makeup and treat yourself to a new outfit or rent a designer one. Pampering yourself would put you in the right mood for the great night out.

Show your children some love by planning a special family breakfast or spend some extra time with the kids during the day. When you leave for the night, kiss them and leave them with a fun new movie to watch or game to play with.
Plan out something different besides a dinner and movie and have fun; you could try out something different like recreating your first date that would bring back sparks into your relationship. You could also try making up a new Valentine’s Day tradition that you'll both enjoy.
You and your valentine probably don’t want to be surrounded by other noisy couples on your evening of romance; so consider postponing your celebrations to the next night. Besides romance you would also enjoy some privacy at the venue of your choice.
To conclude these tips would make for a great Valentine Day night minus the kids when your relationship gets a breath of fresh air, beyond the kids, reminding you why you are better together, and even stronger because of your great kids and crazy lives.
