Eldercare isn’t a fatigue…live their second childhood

I heard that “caregiver’s fatigue” fits well with eldercare. If I’m asked what’s the hardest thing to do on this planet, “parenting” and “care giving” would be my answer. I remember my neighbor, when I lived in Toronto. The octogenarian rang me just to say, “I had a wonderful shower”. She was also thinking, if she should tip the man…lolzz. I suggested her to do so, only if she felt good. Good Lord! It was a woman who gave her a shower…!

She has such a poor sight. She thinks that everyone with shorthair is a man!

Eldercare is fun like childcare. Also someone over 65 doesn’t mess up like 3-year-old…may be worser than that!

Still it’s good to know that there’s a soul to whom you make a good friend.

Handling an elderly woman is a task, but you’re her partner in crime. You cover her for the mess she made in the pantry!

My grand mom is a peanut of woman and she used to mess up with body wash, even though she knew that she is too old to do that. “Senility” is second childhood. On top of that I helped her to enjoy it!

The old guy is a bit much, so what? His grandchildren aren’t driven potty by him, but you drive him so. It’s his small blessing to get the warm touch of his care giver.

At the end of the day, it’s you who makes him feel warmer and greater, shooing away the quite shiver that keeps eating him in his loneliness – you’ve named it “insecurity”.
