6 Tips To Keep Your Aged Parents Happy
Most of us get so engrossed in our own families that we tend to forget the role our parents played in bringing us up as worthy adults; at the same time we are also reminded of all the chaos, noise and fun of parenting and how our parents now lead lonely lives. It’s time we realize that we have to make all efforts to keep our aged parents happy.
6 tips to keep our aged parents happy:
1) One of the most priceless gifts that we can give to our parents is to show respect to them at all times. It is also good to realize that in giving them respect we would not only make them happy, but would also receive their blessings.
2) Next it is best to realize that parents worry about their children’s welfare all their life; aged parents would appreciate and feel at ease being told that your life is going on well. However refrain from sharing your burdens and always try to fix them yourself; this would save them of stress and worry and keep them happy.
3) Gratefulness is a great attribute; being grateful to parents for all they have done for you in the past and present would make them happy. You owe your life to them, so be always ready to acknowledge your parent’s contribution to your growth as a person and be ready to thank them.

4) What could not give parents a special feeling than being remembered on birthdays and anniversaries; there could be various ways to make them feel special and happy like sending them cards, buying them gifts, organizing special dinners for them and spending quality time with them. All this would create memories that would stay in their hearts till their death; aged parents would revel in the happiness that you still care and love them.
5) Which parent would not love to be updated of the things that are going on in their children’s life; it would be great if you keep in touch with them either through phone calls or Skype at least once a fortnight if not weekly to ask them how they are and tell them about all the important events in your life. Keeping in touch could create memories if you also send photos of your family and you either through e-mail or mail; positive news about you from time to time would not only make them happy, but would uplift their spirits.
6) Involve your aged parents in all the important celebrations in your house; if they stay in the same city arrange for transportation for them to attend birthday celebrations, wedding anniversary celebrations and other important family activities and celebrations. If your aged parents live with you, take their help in making preparations; this would not only make them feel involved but would also make them happy.
