Zebra crossing is known as a crosswalk in some parts of the world. Children usually cross the street using a crosswalk to get to school, so it is very fitting. This term also came about from an African Safari where the Wildebeest and the Zebra travel together through the Serengeti to the Masai Mara parks and meet at a river to cross it. This is a very dangerous task for them and much planning is required, as they trample over one another or drown or get eaten by crocodiles. Once they have crossed the river, they have been successful and can celebrate, but not quite yet, as they are very tired from the task just performed and still have to be alert for carnivores ready to attack. This is an annual occurrence where many tourists travel to see this great event of millions of animals and is known as the 7th wonder of the world.
