80-year-old Indian male with Parkinson’s seeking a compassionate and reliable caregiver. He does not speak much English. He is able to walk on his own but requires hands-on support to prevent falls due to tremors and balance issues related to Parkinson’s. Safety and fall prevention are very important. Care needs include: • Assistance with transfers (bed to standing, standing to sitting) • Help getting on and off the toilet • Support with walking to ensure he does not fall • Shower assistance every other day (there is a shower chair; caregiver would need to help with soaping and rinsing) • Assistance with shaving • Medication reminders and supervision • General supervision for safety He is otherwise fairly independent with many of his ADLs but requires physical support for bathroom use, bathing, and mobility. We are ideally looking for a live-in caregiver. If live-in is not possible, we are open to daily care for several hours per day. Reliability, patience, and experience with Parkinson’s or fall-risk patients is strongly preferred. We would prefer a male caregiver and someone familiar with Indian culture, if possible, but we understand this may limit availability. Serious inquiries only.
